At the very heart of Cirella, a small and beautiful village on the high Tyrrhenian Cosentine coast, just 4 kilometers from Diamante (a famous city for murals and chillies) stands the Guardacosta Hotel. Within an olive and pine tree park, the hotel faces the crystalline water of the cedar seaside. This coast is characterized by wide beaches, breathtaking cliffs, and a very mild climate. The surrounding landscape , both mountainous and coastal, are embedded in an archaeological, cultural, and historical environment. Our guests can benefit from a relaxing, calm, and very pleasant stay in a warm and comfortable location. The Guardacosta Hotel has 58 rooms, 38 in the central structure and 20 mason- work chalets, situated within the park, close to the hotel’s private beach. The hotel has double, triple and quadruple bedrooms. Rooms are en-suite (shower, toilet, hair dryer)and offer air conditioning, lcd TV, telephone, and a private terrace. Half of the rooms in the central structure have a sea- view, and the other half displays a mountain- view. On location the hotel has a bar, a TV room, and a restaurant. The fine Mediterranean dining offers high quality and selective dishes. The everyday menu offers a selection between two main courses ,two second courses, two side-dishes, fruit and dessert. Lunch and dinners are served in the restaurant, while breakfast is served on the outdoor- terrace where our guests can enjoy an appetizer before lunch, or a late-evening drink before dinner, or just a coffee after dining. The services offered by the hotel are: - A seawater pool, with graduated levels, guarantees safety. This is ideal for children and adults. An outdoor solarium surrounded by olive trees, which offers a touch of natural freshness. - The private equipped beach (beach umbrella, deck- chair, and cot in all rooms) directly accessible from the internal structure of the hotel itself through a pine-wood , and a slight and brief descent along a path of about 150 meters.The gravel beach is set within an angle of a magnificent cliff, close to the suggestive caves of Cirella island. - Animation, offered by a small club that organizes different activities both at the beach and at the swimming-pool, makes for even a more enjoyable and relaxing vacation. - A tennis court; with the possibility of taking private lessons. - A private car-park without attendant. And for he who would like to interpose diversion together with moments of relaxation, it would be possible to practice snorkeling and various underwater activities, go on explorative boat trips; or alternate beach life with excursional outings. It takes only a short walk, rising towards the hill, to reach the ruins of the old part of the city of Cirella where there is the well- known amphitheatre of recent construction, which during the summer months hosts plays and concerts. The setting of the hotel runs along the boundaries of the National Pollino Park that allows for explorations, at only a short distance from the sea, of one of the most beautiful mountainous natural reserves in all of Italy. Among the diverse areas of the river valleys of Argentino, Lao, and Abatemarco, it is possible to organize many different activities: trekking, rafting, mountain biking, quad, horseback- riding, … The neighboring zones are rich in archaeological sites, and of historical and cultural interest: Orsomarso, Papasidero, Maratea, Praia a Mare, Scalea, Diamante… At only a few kilometers North or South , it is possible to find all the entertainment associated with seaside resorts, outdoor discothèques, a movie-house, and various shops with typical Calabrian and traditional products, and a shopping mall. How to reach us: -From the North- Highway A3 Salerno- Reggio Calabria, exit at Lagonegro North. Continue along the SS18 for Praia a Mare, Scalea ,and then Diamante. Turn off at the first crossroad for Cirella, and turn right and continue for about a hundred and fifty metres. -From the South- Highway A3 Salerno- Reggio Calabria, exit at Falerna. Continue along the SS18 for Diamante. Turn off at the second crossroad for Cirella, and turn left and continue for about a hundred and fifty metres. - By train: The Scalea Railroad Station (about 15 km), the Diamante Railroad Station ( about 4 km), or the Paola Railroad Station (about 40 km). - By Airplane: The Lamezia Terme Airport (about 100 km).
