Hotel Golden Thistle (Crown Point, Trinidad and Tobago)

Guests enjoying having everything within walking distance, including beaches, restaurants, shopping, nightlife and casinos. You can even walk from the lobby into the airport.

Even though the hotel is next to the airport runway, guests found their stay to be quiet and peaceful. This hotel is tucked away from traffic and city noise. The accommodations are private and guests felt safe in the hotel and walking to/from town.

Golden Thistle is privately owned and operated in a friendly, family-like fashion. The front desk manager is approachable, knowledgeable and accommodating. You'll get an insider look and candor advice for an authentic stay in Tobago. At Green Thyme. the chef is able to make meals on request, if you don't see a menu option you'd like.

The hotel is main need of repair and redecoration. Guests have commented that the furniture is worn, the shower is old and the bedding need to be replaced. One guest had a hole in the door. The older A/C system functions well, but is quite loud. Renovations have already begun earlier 2015.

The Wi-Fi is complimentary but the strength is very poor in the rooms. It is much better in the lobby area. The cable TV signal also tends to drop often.

Guests have had some complains about the water temperature. Sometimes there is no warm water in the shower, other times no cold water in the kitchen. Also, please note that soap is not provided in the rooms, so bring your own toiletries.
