Hotel Escondido Lodge (Escondido, USA)

One of the first things many guests mentioned in their reviews was that the hotel’s staff were very friendly and helpful, always seeming to have the time to assist when necessary.

Many guests reported that there were a number of great restaurants in the immediate area, as well as some decent shops. They never felt that they had to travel far for a good meal or to do their regular shopping.

Guests definitely felt that they received good value for money during their stay. They mentioned that the room rates were especially competitive and believed they got decent accommodation in a good location in return.

Going by the reviews, it seems the hotel is in the process of renovating, but that this is taking some time and that it was uncertain when the project would be completed.. Those who were allocated rooms that had not been renovated were clearly unimpressed, saying they looked very down at heel and couldn’t be renovated fast enough.

Guests were really not impressed with the complimentary breakfast offered. The main complaint was that it was simply far too basic to generate any sort of enthusiasm first thing in the morning.

A number of guests reported having trouble with inconsiderate fellow guests partying, and making a noise generally, late at night. They did not seem to feel that hotel management make strenuous enough efforts to control this and so some experienced a fitful night’s sleep.
