Hotel Du Pont (Wilmington, USA)

Boasting beautiful décor and elegant rooms, it is no surprise that most guests were awed by the du Pont. Reviews describe the rooms as spacious, spotless, and well maintained. The beds are comfortable, and the bathrooms have plenty of counter space and even makeup mirrors. The layout of the room was well thought out, with things like a rotating TV, so you can watch it from your bed or the sofa. Guests also enjoyed the hotel's public facilities and especially loved the large, well-equipped gym.

The hotel focuses on emphasizing old fashioned hospitality. Most of the staff is police, friendly, and incredibly helpful. There is someone willing to assist you on virtually any task. In addition, guests also really liked the bartenders at the hotel, saying they not only make great drinks but also have a lot of personality.

Make a reservation at The Green Room. Featuring high-end French cuisine, this restaurant is popular with many Wilmington visitors and locals, and is not to be missed. Not only are the meals well-presented, but the dining room is quite ornate too. Guests also enjoyed all other onsite restaurants, bars and cafes, and say the hotel serves a fantastic breakfast worth waking up for.

Though most of the staff is attentive and absolutely delightful, a call for special requests from your room may be problematic. Guests say room requests, or even a delivery from luggage service, are often delayed or forgotten.

Some guests were disappointed that the rooms lack many common amenities, like a coffee maker, only available in the suites. However, both a refrigerator and a microwave can be requested.
