Visitors rave about the hotel's pool saying the facility is nice and the views of the surrounding area are good too. The pool is open seasonally during the summer and there is also a hot tub for you to use.

The staff at the hotel are willing to go out of their way to assist you according to travelers who add the employees are friendly and are almost always available to help you out.

The hotel is located along the scenic California coast, only 15-minutes away from Avila Beach and the Pacific Ocean. Visitors say the location is nice as it is far enough away the hustle and bustle of the city to offer you peace, but still close enough to San Luis Obispo to provide convenience. Downtown San Luis Obispo is less than ten-minutes away by car.

A large number of guests were unhappy with the fact that breakfast at the hotel's on-site restaurant was not complimentary. A few guests who did purchase breakfast at the hotel state they were not impressed with the offerings.

A couple of guests say they noticed a stuffy smell in some of the rooms of the property that was off-putting. They add that this musty odor wasn't found in all of the rooms, and you can request to be moved to a different room.

The air conditioning unit in the rooms is rather loud according to several visitors who point out that it makes a ruckus when it is turned on. The weather in San Luis Obispo is quite mild during most of the year, but you might need to turn the AC on during the summer months.
