Positive Reviews
positive:
Canal Grande views and easy walk from station.
The location of Continental is one of ease and great views: those who have plenty of luggage will enjoy that it is only a few minutes’ walk from the central station, it is close to vaporetto stations and within walking distance of Venice’s main attraction
positive:
Nothing a problem for staff.
You will find the friendly hotel team, and particularly the reception staff, to be helpful wherever there is a chance to be.
positive:
Old world charm and redecoration.
This picturesque hotel in Venetian style has antique furniture and was in 2015 in the process of renovating some of its dated, but comfortable rooms. Some guests were very happy with the decor, as long as they were not expecting modern design.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Limited space in rooms.
Some guests found the rooms to be smaller than they would have liked, with little space to unpack luggage, and small bathrooms.
negative:
A few lingering smells.
If you are unlucky, you may be one of the few to experience musty smells in your room and bathroom, although this has been linked to the yet-to-be-renovated rooms.
negative:
Air conditioning not year-round.
Due to Venice restrictions on when air conditioning can be used, you may be unhappy to find yourself unable to turn it on outside of the summer months, and suffering from mosquitoes and noise if you decide to open your window.
