Guests said the best thing about Antico Panada was that it was fantastic for exploring Venice's tourist attractions, and in particular, Piazza San Marco, which is just a minute's walk away. The location was also said to be handy for water bus transport connections, while the area is also said to be host to a wide range of restaurants and shops.

Antico Panada's rooms were occasionally thought to be rather small, and some guests were unhappy to find they were to not actually stay in the hotel, but rather in separate lodgings. On top of this, people with disappointed to find that the Wi-Fi is not available in the bedrooms.

According to reviews, some noise from other guests inside the hotel and Venice visitors outside can be heard, especially by those who stay directly on the square itself. Based on this, it may be worth taking earplugs.

Guests generally thought that the staff not very welcoming, and the overall customer service experienced by many was reportedly poor, with requests for assistance going unnoticed or grudgingly acknowledged. The breakfast selection is apparently also poor, with no hot options available, crowds at times, and the coffee quality was thought to be rather bad.
