Positive Reviews
positive:
Central but peaceful location
Florence has plenty of accommodation nearer the heart of the city than this hotel. A few guests reflected that they would have preferred to stay closer to the river where more sights are on the doorstep. However, if you like the added tranquility of being a little off the beaten track and you're happy to explore charming Florence on foot you'll find most of the sights are within 30-minutes' walk. Alternatively, buses for downtown stop nearby.
positive:
Comfortable and clean with spacious bathrooms
Most visitors commented on the cleanliness of the hotel as being of a good standard or even spotless; it helped make for a comfortable stay for many as did the generously-sized bathrooms.
positive:
Friendly, helpful staff
Reviewers were mostly positive about the personnel at the hotel describing them as friendly and helpful and ready to make suggestions or answer travelers' queries.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Reports of air-conditioning and Wi-Fi issues
It can be down to personal taste, but some guests reported occasional problems with the air-conditioning in their rooms being too noisy, too strong or too weak. The free Wi-Fi caused occasional headaches for some guests who found it slow or unreliable.
negative:
Mixed views over breakfast
In summer you can have breakfast outside in the garden terrace, which many visitors enjoyed. Nevertheless, there were some guests who reported a lack of eggs on the menu and felt the quality of the breakfast was average. Breakfast service personnel were, however, described as friendly and efficient.
negative:
Traffic noise disturbed some
Hotels outside Florence's central car control zone, like this one, can be exposed to a bit of traffic noise as some guests reported when their sleep was disturbed in the mornings. Light sleepers might therefore prefer a room not facing the road.
