Positive Reviews
positive:
Staff are a friendly bunch
With budget hostel accommodation, it is often the case that what you lack in amenities the staff make up for with their friendly and positive attitude. That seems to be the case here, with guests saying that the staff are really good.
positive:
Good location
The location of the hostel could not be any better. It is right on the seafront, with great views out to see, while the town centre is only a short walk away too. The famous Brighton nightlife is on your doorstep too, which will suit in particular any stag or hen parties that stay here.
positive:
Secure place to store your items
With shared hostel accommodation that is shared with strangers, there can be a worry about your possessions being safe. Thankfully, at this hostel you can lock up your possessions safely and easily.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Noisy at night time
This hostel is in a great location for nightlife, but the obvious downside is that the area is noisy on an evening and into the night. If you are hoping for a good night's sleep, especially on a weekend, be aware that you might struggle due to high amounts of external street noise.
negative:
Shared bathrooms can be busy
A number of guests have complained about the shared bathrooms, saying there are too many guests for the facilities available. This can lead to a long wait to use the loo, for example.
negative:
Poor Wi-Fi
There is free Wi-Fi available here, which is obviously a good thing. However, guests have said that the Wi-Fi connection is patchy depending on where you are in the hostel, and sometimes simply does not work at all. In other words, the Wi-Fi cannot be relied upon.
