Many guests to Sands Seaside Heights are usually happy about its location especially since it lies just half a block from the beach where guests can lounge, enjoy a splash or amble about. A convenience store is located across the street, Breakwater Beach Waterpark is within a walking distance, as are the clubs.

Though the motel offers no on-site fitness center or recreation facilities, active guests can indulge in various activities offered in the nearby facilities. They can go parasailing, kayaking, boating, rafting, surfing, and cycling.

Many guests have been really appreciative of the excellent television reception in the hotel. Wireless Internet is really fast and efficient in the rooms.

Broken down appliances including TVs, burnt-out light bulbs in the rooms, bathrooms lacking toilet paper holders, curtains too short to cover the entire window surface, and very low water pressure in the showers have all been cited as sources of frustration by guests.

A number of guests have reported feeling quite disappointed at discovering string cigarette smoke in rooms designated as non- smoking. What's even more disturbing is that the in-house staff appeared unconcerned about getting rid of the smell or helping guests get alternative accommodation. Other guests have complained of a distinctive alcohol pee smell in the bathrooms.

Despite the Sands Seaside Heights' indication of daily housekeeping, some guests have commented of sub-par service. The rooms, they report, host bugs, cigarette butts litter the floor, carpets are filthy, stained beddings, stinks of mold, and soap scum in the bathroom floors. Some guests have described the rooms as claustrophobic.
