Many guests commented that, for a property in such close proximity to San Diego, this hotel offers good accommodation at a good price. Not only is this inn right across the street from a large shopping center, but there is also a trolley stop nearby that connects Santee to downtown San Diego.

On the whole, visitors were delighted by the quality of this inn's amenities. Guests here appeared to be most impressed with the in-room Wi-Fi and the flat-screen TVs featured in every unit. The overall cleanliness of this property received top marks, with the bathrooms being singled out for high praise.

This might be a budget choice, but that didn't stop staff at this Rodeway Inn location from going the extra mile. Visitors repeatedly mention that staff went out of their way to assist, even giving helpful local restaurant suggestions to out-of-towners.

While many were impressed that in-room Wi-Fi was offered here, some visitors had problems connecting or accessing the network. Those who managed to connect also found the network to be very weak.

This hotel does offer smoking accommodation and when things are busy, these are sometimes the only units available. Unfortunately, a number of guests commented that these rooms smelled very strongly of smoke while others noticed large cigarette burns in their sheets and comforters.

A number of guests were very annoyed to be charged for the use of refrigerators and microwaves. Finally, despite the mainly clean appearance of this property, there appeared to be a few housekeeping blips in the bathrooms, with some spotting hairs in shower basins and sinks.
