About Quinta Do Cano

Quinta do Cano is a bed and breakfast where also the owners live, along with their animals, such as dogs, donkeys and pigs. The total area of the Quinta is 7 hectares, about 1 hectare is used as an ornamental garden, a part is used for the animals, a part for the vegetable garden and in the non-cultivated part there are olive trees and cork oaks. The Quinta is situated 3.5 km from the historic center, on the rural and agricultural side of Évora. For those who like to walk there is a walking path along the Aqueduct, for those who want to make daytrips, the Quinta is situated directly on a national road that gives access to many daytrips to and historic towns and attractions. The Quinta consists of a main building and two apartments. In the main building there is a quadruple room (2 bedrooms and a bathroom), a double room and a single room, both with their own bathroom. These bedrooms lead on to a small sitting-room with provision for making tea or coffee. Around 4 pm some home-made delicacies are served. A selection of books on Portugal and some parlour games are available to use in this room. The main building has two covered terraces. One at the back of the house, to take advantage of the morning sun and looks out over the garden and the Aqueduct. One at the front to take advantage of the midday sun. Between these terraces is a terrace with swimming pool. The pool is 11m x 5.5m and at its deepest it is 1.6m. The two apartments, one double and one quadruple, contain a living room with TV and DVD player, a fully equipped kitchen, one or two bedroom(s), a bathroom with shower and a private terrace.
