The accommodation scores heavily with this central Plaza de Ayuntamiento location. Many of the city’s attractions are within walking distance, so you save on transport costs. There is a difficult to navigate car park and the cost can mount up. Given the city centre location though, it could be much worse. Restaurants, bars and shops are all nearby.
The metro station is nearby. Buses leave from Plaza de la Reina which is a few hundred yards away. On your way back from the bus stop, there’s a handy Quickstop grocery store.
Don’t come here looking for frills, there aren’t any. The room is very basic and so is the breakfast. If you are on a deal where breakfast is extra, the advice is to shop around locally and find a better value cafe. Beer, water and coke can be purchased at reception. Cheap eateries , include Burger King which is opposite.
The air conditioning is noisy and this becomes even more of a pain when combined with the noise coming from other guests. Rooms to the rear of the building are reputedly quieter.
On occasions, the lack of an understanding of the English language can be frustrating. It shouldn’t be taken as unwillingness to help though; owners and staff are lovely. If you get a bit annoyed because of this problem, ponder on just who the foreigner is here!
