Situated in a lovely quiet area just a short walk from St. Peter’s Port town centre, Marton Guest House Guest House offers comfortable accommodation which is also family friendly. The 28 bedrooms are simply furnished and have a bright and airy atmosphere. Each features en-suite bathroom, TV, clock radio and tea/coffee station. Marton Guest House is a small establishment, and there are not many public facilities. There is a lovely woodland garden which guests are welcome to enjoy, and the staff are always willing to share their local knowledge. Wi-Fi is available in the public areas Breakfast is available every morning on-site. For other meals, the staff will be happy to offer great dining recommendations. The cliff walk from St. Peter’s to Fermain Bay begins a short walk from the guest house, while the town of St. Peter’s Port itself is just 10 minutes walk away. Victor Hugo House is just 400 yards down the hill.
While guests did have some issues with the hotel, mostly to do with the décor, many said that whatever small problems it had were dwarfed by the very good room rates. They felt they received excellent value for money.

This was perhaps the most common complaint. While guests conceded that it is a budget property, some felt it looked a bit too run down even for this classification. It was not a question of cleanliness or state of repair, both of which were said to be excellent, but rather just looking dated and frayed.
Guests mention that the floorboards at the guest house can be exceptionally squeaky. This means that if you are unfortunate enough to be in a room underneath a night owl who likes to pace up and down while developing plots for his latest novel you could be in for a rather unsettled night.
