Positive Reviews
positive:
The breakfast is a lovely way to start the day.
Breakfast is ample and delicious, with the intent being that you fill your belly with tasty and hearty food. It's so good that it's somewhat disappointing that more dishes aren't so forthrightly offered; dinner is upon request.
positive:
Perfectly located for enjoying the pier and beach.
This is a wonderful little place for couples and families to stay, when desiring a quaint seaside holiday. There's the right amount of balance between being close to the shore, while also being a bit tucked back for more quiet. Additionally, this can be a great base for scenic trips to historical sites in nearby villages.
positive:
Hosts and staff are very friendly and welcoming.
The hosts and their staff all exude a warm and cordial welcome to guests, and maintain that friendliness throughout your stay. They''re a pleasure to communicate with, and to turn to for information and advice about the area.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Car park has very few spots without guarantee.
Although on-street parking is free and not that far from Lewinsdale Lodge, guests tend to prefer keeping their vehicle right onsite. This is a problem because there are less than ten spots available, and securing a space is simply a matter of being lucky enough to get there before someone else.
negative:
A reliable Wi-Fi signal is tricky to maintain.
As with many old buildings, consistent internet signals are difficult to maintain. Some rooms may have stronger reception, the pub may be a better option, or you may just have to go elsewhere to use your device.
negative:
Bathrooms are very small and cramped for comfort.
Bathroom space is quite tight, and not comfortable for everyone. Storing toiletries also may not be easy, depending on how much you have, or how many people are in your party.
