Guesthouse Home Park Homestay (Plymouth, United Kingdom)

St Rita's location, halfway between the train station and Home Park, makes it very well placed for visitors who are coming to Plymouth for a football match or to go to the Life Centre. The breakfast was found to be good.

A solo guest reports that the bed was comfortable and was pleased to have two pillows. The staff were found to be very friendly and helpful, booking a taxi for him in the morning. For another guest the room was big and clean, with good en-suite facilities. The TV, the kettle with tea bags coffee and milk, performed as required having stayed for one night they left satisfied with the visit.

It is a hotel that is as intended: cheap and affordable. Guests felt that the St Rita offers good value for money. It is well situated for Plymouth's cafés and restaurants, whilst the bus service is great for travelling further afield.

The TV picture kept breaking up in one room, and in the bathroom the lever for the toilet flush had come off, the wardrobe had been chocked up and the place smelled of stale tobacco. The Wi-Fi does not work everywhere in the establishment.

A guest reported that the mattress was very uncomfortable. They felt vulnerable in that the doors are kept open all night for guests to walk in and out when they liked. The walls are very thin allowing noise from other rooms to intrude, there is also a great deal of noise from the road outside.

An elderly guest was appalled that the young man at reception was not at all helpful, watching her struggle up the stairs with her bags while leaning on his counter.
