Negative Reviews
negative:
Some small noise niggles.
An inherent problem with pub-style inns has to do with occasional noise issues that emanate from the bar area, the more popular the bar, the more noise one will experience, particularly during busier periods like weekends or holidays. If noise is a concern it is best to book rooms as far from the bar area as possible for a quieter experience. Also, some en-suite extractor fans can run a bit on the loud side until the light is switched off.
negative:
Poor Wi-Fi connectivity.
The Globe Inn advertises free Wi-Fi in rooms which is unfortunately quite poor with very weak signal and intermittent, slow service. Not great for business stays.
negative:
Small rooms not ideal.
Most of the rooms on offer are quite small and therefore not the ideal for family stays as getting around would be quite awkward.
