Graycliff Hotel (Nassau, Bahamas)

The garden is lovely and the bottom of the pool is absolutely stunning. It's something you don't see in many places with swimming pools. It's a merging of Italian renaissance and eclectic charm.

There is a bar on the premises with a charming piano player/singer. The scene is from the movie The Great Gatsby. Another treat is the Cigar Store where you can observe the process of cigar hand-rolling.

The hotel has an interesting history dating back to the 18th century. The hotel is a landmark and listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

You feel like a walking wallet at this hotel. The prices are outrageous and there are additional charges for everything including the maid service! Drinks from the bar served in the room are so expensive you'd think they brought them in from Bora Bora! Not only that, there's a cloud of cigar smoke to walk through at the entrance. The costs do not match the quality of the hotel.

You don't want to workout in this gym. The floors are extremely grimy, and the equipment is a joke. Try exercising with mosquitoes all over the place and it's a recipe for disaster. It's the bugs that get the workout! The hotel offers no relief from the bites either.

It gets quite noisy if your room is facing West Hill Street and if your room is over the lounge, you will have to tolerate a lot of noise as well.
