THE WHIRLIES BED & BREAKFAST The Whirlies offers a large private suite comprising two double bedrooms, a central lounge area and a large bathroom with bath, WC, sink and thermostatic shower. The suite is well-suited to a group of four, either four adults or two adults and two children. One bedroom is offered either with two single 3 foot beds or joined as a 6 foot superking bed. For parties of six, we also have an additional large double bathroom with extensive views and its own luxury bathroom with walk in shower, WC and sink. There are spacious gardens surrounding the property and off road parking for several cars. All rooms are offered inclusive of a cooked breakfast. The Whirlies was formerly known as Sunnybank and is an imposing Victorian property built around 1860. It has been occupied by Alderman John Daniel, a local philanthropist, and Cyril Sullivan, a Director of the Blaenavon Company which ran the ironworks. It has been a Doctor's surgery and had substantial grounds, orchards, and stables and was surrounded by stone walls with a magnificent entry. She has delightful views over the valley.
