Staff are friendly throughout and front desk staff in particular are well-spoken and thoughtful, even going so far as to remind guests of their particular bus or ferry departure times without having been requested to do so.
Breakfast service is very good with a full Irish breakfast available each morning in the spacious and light Ferryport House restaurant. The large glass windows provide good views while the service is efficient and friendly and breakfast times have been especially created to suit early morning ferry departures.
Advanced warning should be heeded regarding the hotel's exterior signage alongside the M25 which is not all that visible. Drivers coming in at night might miss it which does tend to happen quite often.
There are some notable issues with en-suite plumbing, especially when it comes to hot water delivery from the shower. Hot water is sometimes not available at all or will disappear suddenly and without warning, making showering a bit inconvenient.
