Positive Reviews
positive:
A convenient location.
There are many ‘must see' places in Quebec. One; Haute-Ville, is just a 15-minute walk away. It's known for its fortifications and is part of a UNESCO World Heritage site. There's an attractive park in the neighbourhood and the buses leave from very nearby to other areas of the city.
positive:
Very friendly owner.
The owner here couldn't be more friendly and welcoming. A mine of local information, a few minutes talking to him can save you lots of wasted shoe leather … and money. The breakfast here is excellent and freshly prepared.
positive:
Good value accommodation.
The price is very reasonable, especially for such a central location. Everywhere is very clean and the rooms are simply furnished but comfortable. There's a nice patio area where you can sit and enjoy the summer weather.
Negative Reviews
negative:
En-suite would be sweeter.
There is only one bathroom to cater for all the guests. It just seems very dated, these days, not to have en-suite facilities.
negative:
Oh, for air-con
There's no air conditioning either and this can make things quite uncomfortable. There are fans which do alleviate the situation a bit. Still, the cost is very attractive and serves to sugar the, otherwise, bitter pill.
negative:
Parking concerns.
On arrival, the entrance can be a bit difficult to find, being next to a shop. Also, parking isn't actually on-site or administered in any way. It's just a plot that's open to the elements … and to intruders! That said, the area is very pleasant and there's no hint of any problem. Better, though, to clear the car of anything of value - before someone else does!
