Black Burn Lodge is an ultra modern boutique bed and breakfast situated in the village of Newcastleton in the Scottish Borders positioned above the Liddel Water with open views over the countryside in an idyllic rural setting. Free on site parking. We offer luxury accommodation comprising two double en-suite bedrooms and a family room sleeping up to four people with en-suite bath and shower. Our guest lounge features a wood stove and direct access to the garden and river frontage. Ideally located for a range of leisure pursuits including cycling, fishing, walking and the history of the Border Reivers. We are close to the Northumberland dark sky national park, Kielder observatory is a short drive away. Kielder Water and forest park offer ample opportunities to stretch the legs, cycling and visiting a range of art sculptures along the lake shore. Abundant wild life can be seen and the Ospreys are nesting visitors. Hadrian's Wall is close by with all its Roman history and visitor centers. The border city of Carlisle offers good shopping and a long history with excellent transport links via the M6, A69 and rail networks. A warm welcome is guaranteed by the hosts.
