Positive Reviews
positive:
Great location for the metro
Many guests mention that, while it isn't exactly in the centre of Madrid, the hotel's position right opposite a metro station is ideal. They say that they could get a decent room rate, but were still able to get into central Madrid very easily.
positive:
In a “cosy” neighbourhood
Several guests mention that there's a nice little selection of cafes, bars and so on in the streets surrounding the hotel. They felt like they didn't have to travel far to eat well and were quite happy to relax at a good neighbourhood café. It was all very agreeable.
positive:
Rooms surprisingly large
Many guests were very pleasantly surprised by the size of their rooms. Even North American travellers commented that they were happy with the room size.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Standard rooms could do with an update
While they are not described as shabby or unacceptable, more than a few guests did find the rooms a little “dated”. They felt it would add a lot to the atmosphere if they were given an update, perhaps to look like the suites featured on the hotel's website.
negative:
Rooms not well soundproofed
Several guests state that they sound from adjacent rooms easily drifted into theirs. Noise from outside wasn't cited as much, but it appears as if the rooms are not properly soundproofed.
negative:
No tea or coffee facilities in the rooms
While this wasn't mentioned as a horrendous oversight, a few
guests nonetheless mentioned that it was an attention to detail that should
have been paid at a four star property. They felt that it would be a relatively
simple matter for the hotel to supply guests with in-room tea/coffee
facilities.
