Positive Reviews
positive:
Brilliant concierge services.
The concierge staff are extremely helpful and nothing is too much trouble. This seems to be the theme throughout the hotel with staff making you feel at home whilst maintaining a very professional standard. Staff get to know you by name and small details like remembering your choice of drink makes you feel valued.
positive:
Historic hotel.
The hotel oozes charm and is a taste of old, grand London. It is very atmospheric and has a boutique feel to it. Décor is sympathetic to a bygone era whilst still feeling modern and very luxurious.
positive:
Perfect location for shopping.
No.11 Cadogan Gardens is perfectly located for the Kings Road, Chelsea, Knightsbridge and Sloane Square. All are excellent locations for shopping and there are many designer boutiques, bars and restaurants in the vicinity. It is easily accessed via London Victoria train station or via London’s underground system, also known as “the tube”. There are multiple museums within walking distance.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Expensive drinks.
Drinks are quite expensive in the hotel, though guests have conceded that this is not surprising due to the affluent location.
negative:
Extensive building work.
There are some long term renovations going on at the hotel and although noise has been kept to a minimum it has impacted on a handful of guests’ stays, for example the gym is currently closed.
negative:
Bedrooms are not very big.
Superior rooms are the hotel’s standard rooms and these are a little on the small side. Guests feel that they are more than adequate for a single person but a couple staying longer than a couple of nights would probably want to upgrade to a larger room. There have also been reports that the bathrooms are very small.
